Join Pat as she teaches you the beginning steps and techniques to free-motion quilting! You need to bring a machine that has feed dogs that can be lowered - and you're all set!

Want to learn how to embroidery by hand? Redwork is definitely the way to go! Linda will guide you as you learn basic embroidery stitches. The class project, a tea towel, is simple and fun - and very doable. Join us for this two-session class.

Third in the Bloc_Loc class series. This class will focus on the 1" x 2", 2" x 4", and 4" x 8" Bloc_Loc rulers. Most of us struggle to get Flying Geese that are a perfect rectangle. When we miss the mark, the Geese don't fit correctly when we sew our blocks together. With Block_Loc method, this worry flies out the window! Come with your own ruler(s), or use rulers available in class to give this must-have tool a try. This is a techniques class, and will focus on the construction of 3 sizes of flying geese blocks. If you are working on a project that requires Flying geese in one of these sizes, bring it along with you. Or, if you are interested in making our "Blue Goose, Seagulls and Kittywakes" lap quilt, either in class or afterwards, a complimentary copy of the pattern comes with the class.

FIRST in our Bloc_Loc class series. This Half-Square-Triangle class is based on the Cut Loose Press pattern, "Vortex Table Runner", designed by Brenda Henning. Come in to the store to see the class sample, a gorgeous Tuscan fall colored table runner. You will be amazed how perfect your half-squares are using the Bloc_Loc ruler. We will show you how to make this runner in half the time it would normally take. You don't have to own the rulers, just take the class and try ours to see if you like the technique. Bring your Bloc_Loc Ruler if you already own one! The Cut Loose Press pattern is $4.00 if purchased separately. Or, purchase the optional fabric kit which includes the pattern (but does not include binding and backing) plus an extra fat eighth yard of fabric for a larger choice of colors. The kit is $30.00. You won't need to bring binding, backing, or batting to the class.

This is the second in our series of 4 classes on the Bloc_Loc rulers. Join us to learn a new way of making the Log Cabin blocks. Not only will you never have to stress about precision cutting, you'll get a perfect block without ever putting an iron to the seams! After taking this class, we're guessing you'll never make a Log Cabin block the traditional way again.

This is the 4th class in our series on the Bloc_Loc Rulers. The pineapple block can be pretty intimidating when traditionally pieced. Most quilters resort to paper piecing to improve on their accuracy. Here's an even better method - Bloc_Loc is the simple way to make sure your block is perfect - and complete it in half the time.

You have a Bernina with an embroidery module and now you want to know how to really use it for all those projects racing through your mind. This is a two day class for you. The first morning you will learn about threads, stabilizers, hooping, and various techniques and "tricks of the trade." That afternoon will be devoted to learning to use the free embroidery program ArtLink 7 from Bernina. You will need to bring your laptop. The second day we will spend all day practicing techniques and stitching various types of embroidery. The group will be limited to 6 participants and the class will be offered several times a year on various days of the week.

Have you always wanted to make a quilt, but didn't know where to start? This is a great class for beginners or those of you that want to improve your basic skills. Learn all of the tips and techniques that cover the basics of quilt making: fabric selection, rotary cutting, machine piecing, quilt top construction, border application and binding. Our class project will be based on the Humble Beginnings Quilt from Buttermilk Basin.

Need to have a little more confidence when you sit down at your serger? This is your class! This class reviews threading, basic stitches, troubleshooting poor tension, skipped stitches, and more.

Ready to have some fun making something where you don't know what you're making?! Barb is very talented at picking mystery quilt patterns that keep you guessing all the time you're sewing. Come have some fun with us and make - well, we really can't tell you what you're going to make. That's the mystery!!

Use a fun and easy technique created by Mary Ann to create a floral collage. After choosing a floral fat quarter, follow the process of cutting it into sections to use as the basis of your project. By using pieces and scraps of coordinating fabrics you will piece sections to fill in between the fat quarter sections. The finished project will be your own original collage masterpiece. Size: Approx. 20" x 30".

Paying someone else to quilt your project for you? This is light-heartedly called "Quilting By Check". All joking aside, this can be an intimidating experience. Are you unsure of how to prepare your project to get the best result? This class is for you! Taught by a long arm quilter with 25 years of experience, we'll review the elements of a successful experience: preparation of the quilt top, construction of the quilt back, borders that don't wave at you, batting selection, and thread and pattern selection. There's a lot to cover - bring quilt tops you have questions or concerns about, and let's aim for a perfect outcome!

This class is for those of you who have taken Beginning Machine Embroidery or have the equivalent experience. It is always fun to do embroidery and use it as a gift. What will you do? Turn it into a pillow, put it on a towel, put it on a garment, or maybe turn it into a cherished wall hanging? We will use the Recipes for Success Embroidery Collection as the base for our project. It is easy to stitch out, has a variety of "recipes", and lends itself well to turning into a wall hanging. After it is stitched, Phyllis will guide you through the process of making it uniquely your own by adding free-form borders and background to it. It is a fun, creative process using your imagination as your inspiration.

Learn easy techniques for making half square triangles and flying geese when you make Raise The Roof! This stunning quilt was designed by Carrie Nelson, and will be taught as a two-day class. Zip, zip, zip the Zippy Bag is a fun bag class with Mary Ann. The pockets on the front and inside keep all your treasures and valuables organized. Pick a collection of fabrics in your favorite color and add contrasting or matching zippers. Zippers, no problem, the pattern uses an easy method. Finish your first one and then you'll be sewing many more for gifts.
