Beginning Machine Embroidery

You have a Bernina with an embroidery module and now you want to know how to really use it for all those projects racing through your mind.  This is a two day class for you.

The first morning you will learn about threads, stabilizers, hooping, and various techniques and "tricks of the trade".  That afternoon will be devoted to learning to use the free embroidery program, ArtLink 7, from Bernina.  You will need to bring your laptop.  The second day we will spend all day practicing techniques and stitching various types of embroidery.

The group will be limited to 6 participants. This class also requires the use of Bernina's recently updated Artlink 8 computer software.  The Beginning Machine Embroidery Class Supply list explains how to download, install and print the software prior to class.

PLEASE NOTE:  Bernina has recently updated ARTLink from Version 7 to Version 8.  If you do not yet have the new version and you sign up for this class online, be sure to drop by the store and pick up the CD that contains the zipped file with the updates you'll need.  Version 8 CAN be downloaded from the Bernina website if you prefer, but Phyllis found that it took over an hour to retrieve the zipped files needed.
